Classroom Management: OC Handbook

Classroom management is a term used by teachers to describe the process of ensuring that classroom lessons run smoothly despite disruptive behavior by students. The term also implies the prevention of disruptive behavior.

Student conduct Code

As outlined in the current catalogue, students are required to follow a certain code of conduct that is appropriate to the classroom and that contributes to the collective learning environment. The Student Conduct Code is listed in its entirety within the Washington State Code (link above).

In the event of any inappropriate behavior by students, you may file an incident report online (link above).  Complete the Student Conduct Incident Report for any student conduct code violations such as academic dishonesty and/or student misconduct. The form also asks for a suggested resolution. Once the form is electronically submitted, the office of the Vice President of Student Services will investigate the matter issue and work to rectify the problem.
