Choosing an interesting research topic is your first challenge. Here are some tips:

Sometimes student researchers start with a topic that is too broad or too narrow for an assignment. If the scope of your topic is too broad you will find way too much information and it will be hard to focus your research and writing. If you topic is too narrow you will struggle to find enough information. Reading background sources as you choose your topic will help you select a scope that is appropriate for your assignment.
