We do not diagnose, prescribe medications or provide long-term mental health care. The number of sessions varies according to the needs of each student. Within the scope of our practice we address a variety of student concerns by providing emotional support, exploring possible solutions, encouraging personal insight, and referring students to appropriate community-based resources.
You may work with a counselor individually or you may start the process in a Career Planning Workshop that is offered quarterly. You may enroll in General Studies 141 (Career and Transfer Planning) which is a two credit/non-transfer course.
