Million Short is an experimental web search engine that allows you to REMOVE the top million (or top 100k, 10k, 1k, 100) sites from the results set. We thought might be somewhat interesting to see what we'd find if we just removed an entire slice of the web.
This secured channel helps protect your search terms and your search results pages from being intercepted by a third party on your network. Look for the "lock" icon on your browser window and for the url to start with "https" instead of "http". This does not work for Google Images or Google Maps. This does not hide your search data from Google.
Formerly, "Clusty," Yippy queries several top search engines, combines the results, and generates an ordered list based on comparative ranking. This "metasearch" approach helps raise the best results to the top and push search engine spam to the bottom.
