DMA 137 - Usher - Intermediate Digital Photography: Home

Course Objectives

This is a digital photography course for those with experience in the basics of photography technique and at least basic experience with adjustable digital cameras.

 You are expected to explore the photographic process as a means of personal and cultural expression – extend yourself.

Ø  Demonstrate advanced use of your digital camera controls;

Ø  Demonstrate verbal and written photographic critique skills;

Ø  Develop the ability to solve increasingly complex visual problems;

Ø  Develop a body of work that reflects a personal aesthetic;

Ø  Prepare & print images for output to laser jet and inkjet printers;

Ø  Prepare & upload images for screen output;

Ø  Demonstrate appropriate software application for a given project.

Attendance Policy

  • Students are responsible for being PROMPT to class;
  • Sign in on the attendance form at each class and participate fully in discussions.
  • In case of absences or tardiness, you are responsible for finding out what you missed by contacting classmates and for completing the assignment by the next class period.
  • You are expected to arrive to class on-time and regularly attend class. 

Optional field trip and enrichment opportunities may be scheduled on some non-class days.
